Welcome to the Apache Blade Works Website. Apache Blade Works prides itself on providing quality handmade knives and swords. Though we specialize in Medieval and Fantasy Blades, we often do blades for hunting, backpacking and fishing. Our standard offerings are available with many custom choices. Due to our workload, for the most part, we no longer do custom blades to order, but we often get a whim to do something unusual that you might be interested in. Also on this site, you will find articles written about different aspects of knife making and setting up a blade shop. Feel free to use these articles but they are the copyrighted work of the author, so please, give the author credit if you do use them.

One thing to note about our blades. We do not make "Wall Hanger" type show pieces. Every knife and sword that leaves our shop is a "Live" blade, in that it is designed and built with the idea that it is to be used. All blade edges are sharp. Each blade is heat treated and tempered to hold an edge as well as provide the tensile strength necessary to make a high quality blade. With proper care, these blades will last a lifetime (or more...).
